Precision Control for Roller Dryers

Drying is a critical process in plywood manufacturing, where inconsistent moisture levels compromise bonding strength, product quality, and on-grade ratio. The GENUS-306i is EUNIAN's roller dryer MC control system — combining the proprietary MC3168 non-contact capacitance sensor, in-house developed control hardware, and intelligent speed control software.

The MC3168 sensor measures the dielectric properties (ε) of each veneer sheet — a physical property directly proportional to moisture content. This capacitance-based, non-destructive, contactless measurement method is calibrated to the ASTM-D4442-20 international standard, ensuring factory results that are not merely theoretical.

MC3168 Sensing

The proprietary MC3168 capacitance sensor measures each veneer sheet's dielectric constant (ε) as it exits the roller dryer — a non-contact, non-destructive read at full production speed.

MC Conversion

The control card converts the 0–5.0Vdc analogue sensor output into accurate MC% readings — calibrated to ASTM-D4442-20 and verified against the Laboratory Validation Module for factory-grade accuracy.

Speed Mode Control

Using the selected speed intelligence mode (Average, Calculated, or Smart Advanced), the system automatically adjusts roller dryer conveyor speed to maintain target MC output continuously.

Veejet Ink Marking

When a veneer sheet is detected as under-dried, the GENUS-306i triggers the high-speed Veejet spray nozzle in milliseconds — physically marking the wet area for immediate visual identification and re-routing.
